Ever wish you could be part of the Texas Hold'Em poker craze sweeping the country but just have no idea how to get started? Don't want to spend a lot of money to learn? Well now you can learn to play poker for fun or take it to the next level and
hone your skills to become a big money player without risking anything! This course teaches the basic strategies and statistics that will enable anyone to sit down at their home game, online, or in a casino and enjoy the fascinating game of Texas
Hold'Em poker.
In this class you will learn by actually playing cash game and tournament style poker in a relaxed atmosphere for at least half of every class. Informative handouts and hands-on instruction will teach:
o Basic rules, terminology, and game format
o Basic starting hands and pre-flop strategy
o How to play after the flop, on the turn, and the river
o Drawing odds and pot odds
o "Switching gears"
o How to bet and check raise
o The value of position
o Building a table image
o Basic tells
We will also discuss choosing the best game for your level, as well as online play vs. live play. Join us for this entertaining class!
