Do you want to learn the fundamentals of the paralegal profession, broaden your skill-set, and gain a greater understanding of the law? A paralegal can earn a salary of $50,000.00 per year working with law firms, government agencies, businesses, and a variety of other organizations in a diverse range of legal specialties. Paralegals are continually in demand as they play a key role in optimizing legal services provided to clients. 

In this four-hour introductory class, you will learn what a paralegal does, several of the skills needed to become a successful paralegal, and how to begin a career as a paralegal. From legal research and writing to trial preparation, familiarize yourself with new skills including:

  •   Citing case law;
  •    Briefing a case;
  •    Assisting clients with completing court forms;
  •    and  Drafting basic pleadings.

We will then apply this knowledge to real-world exercises.At the end of this course, you will be able to explain a paralegal’s role in the legal process, complete basic tasks assigned to a paralegal, and develop resumes focusing on essential paralegal abilities.
